Betty Campbell Statue

This is a statue that was recently erected in the centre of Cardiff, it shows Betty Campbell who was a Welsh community activist and Wales' first black head teacher. She was born poor but worked hard and earned a scholarship, eventually training as a teacher and becoming head teacher of Mount Stuart Primary School in Cardiff. This statue reminds me that no matter what your background and no matter what adversity you face, you can go on to do amazing things and achieve your goals if you work hard.
